Countdown to Germany - Restart the clock

Yesterday at lunch we were planning when we would start buying passports. By dinner, we had decided to put the trip off another year... and it is all my fault. Let me explain.

I had heard about the movie Maxed Out on a few message boards, so added it to our Blockbuster Online queue. It finally came and I planned to watch it over the weekend. I watched sat down to watch it and Marty begrudgingly watched it with me.

He is now convinced that we aren't gazelle enough in our debt repayment (he is right) and that we need to put the trip off for another year and aim to pay our debts off by the end of 2008. ¡Ay, caramba!

He is right of course. (But don't tell him I said that.)

Soooo... I had to add up our debt again today. We only have four debts, so it wasn't difficult. What was difficult was the number.

$17,424.02

Which isn't bad, considering that it is lower than it used to be, but dang! Considering that it is only four stinking debts...

So, begin countdown to freedom!
